The American Kennel Club has released its list of the most popular dog breeds for 2024.

French Bulldog

For the third year in a row, the French Bulldog is America’s top dog!

Rounding out the top ten are a number of perennial favorites: Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherd Dogs, Poodles, Dachshunds, Beagles, English Bulldogs, Rottweilers, and German Shorthaired Pointers.

According the New York City Department of Licensing, Frenchies are the 15th most commonly registered pure breed dog in the Big Apple. The top five in New York are: Yorkshire Terriers, Shi-Tzus, Chihuahuas, Labrador Retrievers, and Malteses.
