Dog Events in New York City in May
May is bringing some lovely spring events to New York City for you and your dog.
First up: the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center is sponsoring Paw Day on Saturday May 2 at the street fair on Second Avenue between 76th and 77th Streets.
Check them out. They’ll be there between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Spring is here and that means… BASEBALL!
Bark in the Park and Bark at the Park (yes, I know it can be a big confusing) are back!
Bark AT the Park is hosted by the NY Mets at Citi Field in Queens.
Bark IN the Park is hosted by the Brooklyn Cyclones at Maimonides Park in Brooklyn.
Dog-Friendly Events in New York City in March
After St. Valentine’s Day and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in February, dog-related and dog-friendly events in New York City are a bit more limited in March.
A monthly regular, and one of my favorites, is the dog-friendly comedy show at Boris & Horton, New York’s first dog-friendly cafe.

Doberman Pinscher Wins Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
Penny, a four-year-old Doberman Pinscher took the top prize at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show last night.
It’s the fifth time a Dobie has taken the top prize, the last time was in 1989.
Dogs Wanted for The Dog Aging Project’s TRIAD Program
The Dog Aging Project has a program that is actively recruiting dogs in New York City and environs. That’s the Test of Rapamycin in Aging Dogs, or TRIAD. It’s designed to study the effects of rapamycin on slowing the aging process in dogs.
